a considered alternative

Why secondhand?

The bridal industry produces extraordinary quantities of garments worn once, then stored, sold in haste, or discarded. We think that's worth pushing back against.

The dresses we carry are things of beauty — designed by makers who cared, constructed with attention, and preserved by the people who wore them. Choosing one is not a compromise; it’s an intentional choice.

What dresses we stock

We source selectively. Each dress is assessed by us before it joins the collection — for condition, construction, and quality. We look for pieces that were made to last and have been looked after.

Our collection includes designer and independent labels, international and Australian makers, in a range of silhouettes, fabrics, and sizes. Stock changes as dresses are acquired and sold. If you're looking for something specific, get in touch.

PRELOVED DRESS FAQs

Can I try a dress on before buying?

1

Yes — all in-store appointments include time to try the dress on properly. Please don’t wear makeup to a dress fitting. For interstate enquiries, we'll provide as much visual and descriptive detail as we can before you commit to anything.

Do dresses come with alterations?

2

We don't alter dresses ourselves, but we can recommend tailors in the region who are experienced with bridal wear. If the dress was altered by its previous owner, it will be stated in the description.

What condition are the dresses in?

3

Every listing includes an honest description of condition; we don't use language like “pristine” or “as new” unless it's genuinely true. You can rest assured that we only procure pieces in excellent condition.

How do I know if a dress is right for me without trying it on?

4

We're happy to answer detailed questions before you visit or purchase. We'd rather spend the time helping you make a good decision than be disappointed it isn't right.
